English-speaking Psychologist in Copenhagen
Are you looking for therapy in English? Whether you’re new to Copenhagen or simply feel more at ease speaking English, we offer evidence-based psychological treatment tailored to your needs. We are experienced in helping people navigate anxiety, low mood, stress, and other challenges – and we provide therapy in a warm, professional setting, both in person and online.
What is CBT and how can it help?
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is one of the most established and research-supported psychological therapies. It is structured, goal-oriented, and collaborative. Together with your therapist, you identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours and work towards building more supportive habits, skills, and coping strategies.
CBT can help with anxiety, low mood, sleep difficulties, stress and more. The approach is practical and tailored to the specific problem you’re facing.
What is Metacognitive Therapy (MCT)?
Metacognitive Therapy (MCT) focuses on how we respond to our thoughts, rather than the content of the thoughts themselves. Many people experiencing anxiety, depression, or stress tend to get caught in patterns of worry, rumination, or heightened self-focus. MCT helps you step out of these patterns and regain mental flexibility.
Through structured techniques, MCT supports you in reducing overthinking, shifting attention, and letting go of unhelpful coping strategies. The approach is time-limited and goal-oriented – most people experience improvement within 8–12 sessions.
It is particularly helpful for people who feel stuck in repetitive thinking or overwhelmed by their inner dialogue, and want tools to break free from that cycle.
We are licensed psychologists with advanced training in both CBT and MCT. We offer therapy in English in central Copenhagen, Valby and online. We work with a range of difficulties, including:

What to expect from therapy
The first sessions are about getting to know your situation, your goals, and what’s been keeping you stuck. Therapy is tailored to your needs – some people come for a short, focused process, others want space to reflect over time.
Whether we use CBT or MCT, the aim is to give you tools and understanding that help you move forward. That might include working with thoughts, patterns of behaviour, attention, habits, or emotional responses. Therapy is always a collaboration – and you set the pace.
If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, you’re welcome to reach out for an informal chat.
